Welcome to Practice-a-thon fundraising! Students are participating in a special challenge to prioritise their musical practice and support a great cause. Every note they play will help raise funds for the ORC's 'Music Within' campaign, aiming to equip our new building with the essential instruments and equipment needed from day one.

My Story
I have taken up the challenge of learning an instrument that I really know absolutely nothing about but have wanted to learn for a long time. Diving into the world of cello gives me a whole new outlook on string playing life! It takes me right back to my student days, struggling to make the sound that I want, practicing hard to put my fingers in the right place every time on the string, fighting with the bow to get it angled and weighted just right. Give me flute or piano any day!
Seriously, who knew that using the bow would be so hard??
I am teaching Stephanie Li the flute and she laid down an excellent challenge on her own page that I will match. Every $5 you donate means that you get to request a song! Maybe Steph and I will even do duets during our lesson - her on flute and I on cello...
